My Tattered Flower Beds

My tattered flower beds are still somewhat pretty to behold despite the weeds popping up and often unkempt border.
I think God knew we would be imperfect, that we would corrupt the perfect Garden of Eden when He created us, but he brought us into existence, anyway. He knew we would still have worth and that some of us would choose the redemption offered by Christ, only to reach perfection in the Eden of heaven.
Often, we are beautiful from afar, but when others get close to us, they see our flaws and sins. The Great Gardener, Jesus, can remove those unsightly weeds if we submit our lives to His weeding and watering.
One of the best ways to do this is with a daily dose of Bible reading. After all, John 1:1 indicates that Jesus was the “Word” and was there in the beginning with God.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:1
“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Timothy 3: 16-17
